Ciprofloxacin USP.
Composition: Each extended release tablet contains Ciprofloxacin 1000mg as Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride USP.
Indications
: Ciprozid-XR
1000 is
indicated only for the treatment of urinary tract infections, including,
Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (Acutc cystitis) caused by Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Enterococcus
faecalis or Staphylococcus
saprophyticus; Complicated urinary tract infections caused by Escherichia coli, klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterococcus
faecalis, Proteus mirabilis or Pseudomonas aeruginosa; Acutc
uncomplicated Pyelonephritis caused by Escherichia
coli.
Dosage
and Administration: Ciprozid-XR 1000 should be administered orally once daily in the

Use
in pregnancy and lactation: There are no
adequate and well controlled studies in pregnant women. Ciprofloxacin is
excreted in human milk so, it should be used if clearly needed.
