Mirtazapine
Composition : Mirtazapine USP 15 mg.
Indications : Mirtazapine is indicated for
the treatment of major depressive
disorder.
Dosage and Administration : Adults:
Initially 15 mg daily at bedtime. The
effective daily dose range is generally 15
to 45 mg. The daily dosage is increased
within 2-4 weeks as a single dose or in 2
divided doses according to response.
Or, as directed by the registered
physicians.
Use in pregnancy and lactation : Pregnancy Category C. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. So, It should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. It may be excreted into breast milk. Caution should be exercised during administration to a nursing woman.
