Canagliflozin INN
Composition : Each Metered dose (Puff) contains Beclometasone Dipropionate 100 mcg.
Indication : Becovent is indicated in the maintenance treatment of asthma as prophylactic therapy in patients 5 years of age and older. Becovent is also indicated for asthma patients who require systemic corticosteroid administration, where adding Becovent may reduce or eliminate the need for the systemic corticosteroids.
Dosage and administration : Becovent inhaler is for oral inhalation use only. Patients should be given a starting dose of inhaled Becovent appropriate to the severity of their disease. The dose may then be adjusted until control is achieved or reduced to the minimum effective dose according to individual response. Management of chronic asthma (Adults & Children over 12 years): 100-400 mcg twice daily. Maximum 1000 mcg twice daily. Children (5-12 years): 100-200 mcg twice daily. the dose may be adjusted as necessary.
Use in pregnancy and lactation : Administration of drugs during pregnancy and lactation should only be considered if the expected benefit to the mother is greater than any possible risk to the foetus or child. There is insufficient experience of the use of Salmeterol Xinafoate and Fluticasone Propionate in human pregnancy and lactation. There are no data available for human breast milk.
